History Has Been Made At Louis Tussaud's Plaza Wax Museum

A reminder of our country’s journey toward freedom for all has been captivated in a compelling new exhibit at Louis Tussaud's Plaza Wax Museum downtown in San Antonio. Freedom’s Journey offers visitors a realistic glimpse of the settlers beginning with the Pilgrim’s to the formation of the first flag created by Betsy Ross. The poignant scene of Lincoln’s last public address on the front lawn of the White House depicts the tremendous emotions of a leader and his soldiers. Tears found in their eyes are real enough to bring the visitors to tears.

A Magnificent 66 ft. mural created by local artist Wendy Carter and Conni Brenner of aArtvarks is a compelling and thought provoking collage. One hundred years of history, notable personalities, cultural and social influences including inventions that have impacted our society are depicted in a powerful and often humorous visual commentary. It is possible to spend hours absorbing every detail of this wonderful painting. The astonishing mural serves as a backdrop for a tribute to the military branches, the brave men and women who have fought and defended the rights and freedoms we enjoy and honor with this magnificent exhibit.
