| Louis Tussaud's Plaza Wax Museum & RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT! TO
HONOR THE FALLEN OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
Louis Tussaud's Plaza Wax Museum® & Ripley's Believe It or Not!®
will unveil a tribute to victims of the September 11th
disaster on Friday, August 30, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. A Firefighter
and a Policeman stand proudly next to President George
W. Bush in a patriotic memorial salute to lives lost in
the September 11th attacks.
This
patriotic tribute is now on display at Louis Tussaud's Plaza Wax Museum®,
301 Alamo Plaza (corner of Alamo Plaza and Crockett Streets)
and is FREE for the public to view. The display will remain
throughout September and October 2002.
The
owners and corporate officers of Ripley Entertainment, Inc. feel
very strongly about having a memorial on display for the public
to view. There have been many requests for wax figures to pay
respect to the victims of September 11th so the owners felt a
fitting patriotic tribute would be a display portraying Firefighters
and Police Officers along with President George W. Bush.
We
would like to gratefully thank and acknowledge the San Antonio
Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and Skaggs
Public Safety Uniforms and Equipment for their contribution of
uniforms, etc. to authentically clothe these newest wax figures.
We would also like to thank AVW Audio Visual, Inc. for providing
the podium and sound system for our tribute. A very special thank
you to the San Antonio Police Department for supplying the badge
belonging to an officer killed in the line of duty-we are so very
honored and humbled to be able to display this badge.
"Every
Fireman and Peace Officer throughout America would have courageously
saved the lives of those who were in such need, as was done by
those valiant defenders in New York, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon.
God Bless America. With Deepest Respect To My Country."
